Minnesota Semaphores

These are some of my photos of Minnesota semaphore signals. They no longer exist.   As with all the rest of my pages, just click on the photo to make it larger.

Left: This was in Manley, Minnesota, in 1990. Manley is in the southwest corner of the state. These four semaphores and an approach signal in the area are now long gone.

Right: The approach signal for Manley, MN in 1990. It was west of the diamond.

Left: Another 1990 view of Manley, MN., looking east. Note the diamond.

Right: This was the view looking east in September, 1998. The track on the left is now the Nobles Rock RR, and the track on the right is the BNSF. The diamond is now gone.

Left: Another view of Manley from 1990. Looking west. Track on the left was the Buffalo Ridge railroad. Track on the right was BN.

Right: Looking west in September 1998. There is track behind the ballast pile to the left of the grade crossing. All that is left of the semaphores is the pole on the left. BNSF tracks are near right; Nobles Rock tracks are on the far right.
